Mind What?

Good question!  Welcome and well done for getting this far!  This page is intended for those of you who know us and are not technical, not working in the IT arena or business and just want to ask that question that friends and family often ask, "What do you acutally do?"  So, if you've just worked out how to close Outlook, don't know what collaborative technologies are and do not know the difference between a bit and a byte, then this page is for you!

What does MindPoint do?

Without getting technical, MindPoint help organisations understand their information better through the use of technology.  Sometimes this means helping them make the technology they have in place work, or work better, or sometimes this means new projects being put into place to move things forward for their business.  Another way we work with our customers is to provide training, either delivering courses to enable our customers to do their own technical work, knowledge transfer on-site whilst carrying out a consulting assignment or running technical and business workshops.

Our skill is being able to cross the boundaries between business and technology that exist in so many organisations.  Being able to see the "bigger picture" to understand the true business needs of our customers allows us to help them make better and more informed decisions about their use and investment in technology to acheive their business goals.

What doesn't MindPoint do?

MindPoint have a solid foundation in technical and development work on a number of projects and programmes ranging from air defence systems and large scale corporate information systems through to very specific and niche management information systems.  Along the way we have acquired many technical skills and "know how" that enable us to fix PCs, build networks and enable the mobile workforce, but these are things that are away from our core business.
